Family history has always had him coming over with General Lafayette during the time of the American Revolution. This is supported by the prominance of the "Lafayette" name in the Bellenfant family in later generations. He died in May 1802 in Rockingham (Guilford) Co., North Carolina.

34. Absalom Scales, son of John Scales and Lydia Jane McClaren, was born on 31 Dec 1769 in Patrick, Pittsylvania Co., VA and died on March 17, 1835, in Williamson Co., Tennessee at age 65. Abasalom Scales was from North Carolina and was one of the earliest settlers in the Eagleville area of Tennessee. Around 1790 he erected a four-room frame house of yellow poplar on his 600 acres of rolling land. The Absalom Scales House is recognized as an Historic House by the National Rigister of Historic Places. It was built for Absalom Scales and his wife Nancy Dalton, whose paternal grandfather Samuel Dalton Sr., was a British immigrant and personal friend of U.S. President James Madison. In 1835 it was inherited by their son Noah, who enlarged the house, covering the entire structure with brick. The Absalom Scales House has been renovated several times and has been a landmark in the small farming community of Eagleville.

Her father and brothers were mechanics in the government yards in Nottingham. Mary Ann worked at a lace factory as a girl and became a dressmaker. In 1856 she married Fredrick James Graham, a widower with three small daughters. Frederick and Mary Ann then had five daughters together, the first being still-born.
In 1863 the Graham family traveled to America crossing the ocean in a six to seven week journey on the ship Amazon with hundreds of other Latter Day Saints. They landed in Castle Gardens, New York, and then traveled to Florence, Nebraska (now called Omaha). They then journeyed across the plains with ox teams in the Thomas Ricks Company, arriving in Salt Lake City, October 4th, which was exactly four months to the day when they left their home in England. A few days later they moved on to Brigham City.
In March 1868 the family moved to Honeyville.
Mary Ann died Jaunuary 26, 1901 in Honeyville, Box Elder, Utah, and was buried in Honeyville, B-Eldr., UT.

56. Ammah Andrews,3,4 son of Thomas Andrews, was born on 9 Jul 1801 in Herkimer Co., New York and died on 5 Jan 1888 in St. Croix Co., Wis. He had a twin brother, Amasa Andrews, and was close to him for most of his life. He was married three times. His first wife was Laura Andrews, probably a cousin, (who was born June 5, 1803, and died at Commerce, Washington County, Michigan, May 22, 1842). He then married Martha Fuller on April 6, 1843 at Commerce, Michigan. Martha died in Hudson, Wisconsin, on August 22, 1850, when her infant son, Henry Ammah Andrews was four months old. Ammah then married Catherine Scott (1820-1864), who died in Hudson.
Ammah was a pioneer of the St.Croix area of Wisconsin. He moved to the St. Croix valley in the mid 1840's, and settled in what later became known as Hudson, in 1847. He was the Chairman of the first meeting of the St. Croix County Board of Commisioners, and was later elected as the Director of the Board of Education. He was an architect and builder, and with his brother Amasa, built a great number of large beautiful homes and public buildings in the Greek Revival form in the Hudson area before the Civil War. He was noted as having "Hellenized Hudson".
He served a year or so as a carpenter for the Union Army in Tennessee during the Civil War. He moved with his son Emory to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1868, and his sons Henry and Howard followed the next year. He later returned to Hudson where he died at the age of 86.

The Saints then travelled by train to Salt Lake City, Utah. Pierre Romeril died on 2 Jan 1880 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah at age 63, and was buried in City Cem., Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. He died about a week after his wife, Elizabeth, and his cause of death was listed as a "violent cold coupled with a great depression of sprits caused by the recent death of his wife"
